Philadelphia’s Fire in the Radio have announced a series of fall tour dates in further support of last year’s acclaimed record “Telemetry.” The dates include shows with J. Robbins, Drug Church (No Sleep Records), Such Gold (Razor & Tie) and a performance at this year’s Fest 15 in Gainesville, Florida:

In addition, the band is in the process of putting the finishing touches on their new record, titled “Drug Life.” The record was recorded at Gradwell House Recordings (Into It. Over It., Beach Slang, Foxing) and mixed by Jesse Gander (Japandroids, White Lung). The record, which the band collectively describes as its darkest effort to date, is set for release in early 2017.

The Blues and Greys Announce Dates With Of Monsters and Men, Banks, and Cayucos
The Blues and Greys have announced a pair of new west coast dates. On April 21st, the band will be opening for Cayucos (Secretly Canadian) at the San Luis Obispo Brewing Company. Then, on May 17th, the band will be playing the Santa Barbara Bowl with Of Monters and Men, Banks, and Walk the Moon as part of KJEE FM's Summer Roundup.
Fire in the Radio Debut "Telemetry" Trailer at Absolutepunk.net
On May 12, 2015, Philadelphia’s Fire in the Radio will release its new record entitled “Telemetry” on Wednesday Records.
Work on the record, which contains eleven tracks, started last year when Fire in the Radio spent time at Inner Ear studios in Washington, DC, with engineer Don Zientara (Fugazi) doing a series of demos. The demos turned into the foundation for a full-length record that was recorded in the summer of 2014 at Miner Street Studios in Philadelphia (The Menzingers, Restorations) with producer Thom Flowers (Lagwagon) and engineer Matt Schimelfenig (Cayetana). The record was mixed by Jesse Gander (Japandroids) at Rain City Recorders in Vancouver, and mastered by Alan Douches in New York. The band, who derives their name from the Charles Bukowski poem “Regard Me," has a unique sound that has been appropriately described as an amalgamation of Jawbreaker, Tigers Jaw, Weezer and Title Fight.
The "Telemetry" album art features a photograph from Don Hamerman's "Found Baseball" series, which has been prominently featured in Juxtapoz magazine and NPR.
